Badshot na talaga Flickers Photo Society sa akin…

Wednesday, November 19, 2008

Here’s the story.

First of all, I love Photography…

I wanted to join a school organization that has the same passion as me… …that is the Flickers Photo Society

So I did this time.

I did not want to join before because another student that I hate so much is also a member.

And when I though that he wasn’t a member anymore, I decided to join.

I ran through the screening process  and lo-and-behold it’s the most frustrating screening process.

It was like a game where you’ll search for a person and he/she’ll give you another task or a certificate of some sort.

The message was sent through Blast Text (group message).

It’s say… Look for a girl wearing a pink blouse and a white skirt in the Cafeteria (1st floor), rm 301 (3rd floor), or Library (7th floor) from 10:00am - 11:00am or 12:00pm - 2:30pm. And that she might be the one who interviewed us before.

So, okay, I have three floors to cover. What’s worse, it’s a Friday, all girls are wearing Pink!!

Fine, I couldn’t find her.  Because, hell yeah, everybody’s wearing pink! And I have classes already.

So another blast text was send to go to her again, this time directly at  rm 301.

I went there between the interval of my class.

They asked me a few things and made me do an errand to pass the screening and be a member.

What can you contribute to the group that is worth 5 pesos.

I got pissed off when I went out of the room. Why? First of all, they made me search the whole building to find a girl wearing a pink blouse, who I do not know. Secondly, the gal is not wearing a pink blouse, it’s a pink shirt. Thridly, she’s not the one weho interviewed me. Thirdly, they want to make me contribute to their organization without confirming that I’m a member already. Forth, I do not bring any money even 1 pesos because I do not need to buy anything nor commute to-and-from school, therefor I cannot pass the last test. Fifth, I saw the student that I hated there in the room and apparently he is the head honch… the president of the organization!

I’m so pissed that when I get back to the classroom, my instructor noticed. hahaha

So, I told him the story and as to why I’m pissed.

With that in mind legally, I’m not a member since I did not pass the screening.

After a few days, I still get those blast texts..

And I replied to one of the messages: ‘Please remove my number from this list for I am not a member of this Flickers Society.’

And he replied back: ‘Why?’

I replied back: ‘I did not complete the screening, therefor I am not a member of the organization.’

He replied: ‘Don’t worry about it. Welcome to the organization.’

I replied: ‘I am not interested anymore. Thank you!’

He did not reply back, and removed my number from the list. He was the Vice-President, by the way.

Well, that was way back in July.

Today, I received another text message… and at 7 o’clock in the morning.

Even ur terminated, u can still help the Flickers Photo Society. This is a learning process that u should undergo. U can redeem urself by participating in our activities as a “guest”. The doors of Flickers Photo Society is widely open & we want everyone to give another chance. To see how passionate & dedicated u are in this craft.

Thanks & God bless!Ü

First of all I’m not terminated! Secondly, I do not need to redeem myself to such non-sense. Thirdly, I do not need to show my passion the that craft, that is photography, just by attending their “activities”.

So I replied.

How can i be terminated if i had quit a few months ago?

He / she still replied.

Pls wait 4 d letter, b4 u told us na magquit ka u exceed 3 consecutive absences & didnt c0mply with the requirements.

I replied.

Of course i didn’t. Screening pa lang nagquit na ako. Alangan naman pumasok pa ako…

With that said he/she did not reply anymore.

PostgreSQL nagging T_T

Tuesday, November 4, 2008

It’s my third time to try to install and run PostgreSQL…. and of course it fails…

From windows’ user permissions, secondary login, services, etc..

I still can seem to start it.

After installing it (somehow) there’s still a ton of configuration to do..

Why can’t it be just like MySQL where these configrations (mostly security that is not needed in testing) are to be edited in production (last part in development) and not in testing… Programmers are not the one to implement this in production level, System Administrator do.

Anyway… try and try until everything breaks!!
